Brad Paisley 2010
Verizon Wireless Music Center, Indianapolis, IN
6.5.2010
Brad Paisley made his annual visit to Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana this past week, and as usual his visually appealing show did not disappoint. A mix of country music hits, massive video surfaces, and an excellent lighting pallete created an aquatic environment for Paisley’s ironically named H2O tour.
But let’s be honest, if you’re reading this blog you’re looking for the tech specs on the show. LD Dean Spurlock had an MA console at front of house, and a variety of moving lights hanging from a custom made Tyler Truss circular Tyler GT® rig.
The video surfaces had the potential to overwhelm the musical performance, but yet again Paisley’s video crew put on an amazing show. Not only was content well composed, but video surface control was truly flawless. Multiple screens worked in concert (Via Dataton Watchout) to create what was at times a truly colossal canvas. Highlights included Paisley’s video duet with Allison Kraus during “Whisky Lullaby”. The lighting and video were well synced that it was difficult at first to determine whether the recorder performer was actually on stage or not.
Full Disclosure: I am an employee of Tyler Truss Systems in Pendleton, Indiana.
